Cannot use MS Outlook..but can browse the internet

Hi I have a Dell LAtitudeD520 laptop which is an office systme

The IT admin tema has configured the settings so that i can use my MS outlook from my home itnernet connection.

However, when i do log in from home, I am able to browse the internet but the MS outlook fails to connect due to which i am not able to download mails at home.

Unable to figure out the problem, as the IT guy is saying that the configuration is correct….PLEASE HELP!!!
