Can’t Delete a Folder

I have a folder created and deleted by a user. The folder is under the user’s directory on a NTFS drive on the server. NT 4.0 SP5. The folder still shows up but is not accessible. I can’t take ownership, delete it, check properties, rename , etc. I have run Norton’s disk repair utilites and that did not help. Any ideas out there?
