Can’t get Original CD/CDRW/DVD Emulator to work as a CD-RW

I want to create the recovery disk for desktop im’m planning on reloading.

The machine does not have a CD-Burner but the Recovery Disk Creator only wants to write to a cd burner.

I tried the Original CD/CDRW/DVD Emulator but I can’t determine how to make it recognise the virtual CD drive as an RW.

The help file is not very detailed.

I also was looking for something that would make the software recognise a USB flash drie as a CD-RW and write the image to it instead.

Either solution would be aceptable.

I am looking for a free software solution.

I can install a burner in the machine but I am interested in getting an emulator to work and will pursue this further if anyone has any suggestions on what I am doing wrong.
