Can’t open email messages

Since using my laptop on a different wireless network, I can no longer open emails using my home wireless. I’m thinking it is a security or Internet setting that was changed. Comparing settings to my PC, I can’t find it. This is for Windows 7, Internet Explorer, email via my cable provider. Any suggestions?
