Can’t see a user account to chane it’s Type in User Accounts

by techknow9 . Updated 20 years, 11 months ago

I have a Windows XP Professional laptop.

A user profile with “limited account” privileges is not visible either in Windows Logon or in the User Accounts (in Control Panel), when I login as an Administrative User, or as an Administrator from Safe Mode.

I have all my settings in this profile. I use the PowerToy “TweakUI” to set the Auto Logon to this account, and then Restart the notebook.

I want to change this account’s Type from a limited user to Administrator privileges

I read somewhere that I could correct this problem by going into Start -> right click on My Computer -> click Manage -> select Local Users and Group -> open Users and select the user account. There is no red cross on this user to show it?s disabled.
The ?Full Name? for this account and also the Administrator account was blank, while the Administrative User account had a name. So I tried enter a Full Name for the limited user account, but it still fails to be listed in the User Accounts when I am logged in as an Administrative User.

Thanks for your help
