I was recently laid off when the company that i’ve worked for the past 17 years started selling off business units. I’ve worked in IT for 20+ years.10 as a network engineer, working with Cisco and Juniper gear. Had a CCNA and CCNP but let them lapse about 3 years ago because i was moved into a supervisory and management role. Got my MBA with a concentration in IT.
Ideally i would like to work with people in a management/supervisory role, still in the network infrastructure area. Should i go back and re cert on Cisco or focus on areas like ITIL or project management certs like CAPM and on to PMP?
Thoughts?
