CD-Rom Drives Not Working

Win 2000 Professional. Device Manager shows drives are working properly, drivers are fine. Windows Explorer does not recognize either of two drives, no autoplay. One is SCSI, the other EIDE. Any easy fixes, other than a Windows re-install?
