cgi-less form e-mailer

A while back I had a link to a cgi-less form
e-mail script that uses the client mail program..
I didnt keep the script on hand or remember how to set it up.. I think I see it being used all over this site..Am pretty sure it originated from here…Can anyone fill me in?
