Change Instagram username without losing blue tick verification.

I am verified on Instagram with a low follower count. I need to change my username but have been told by a reliable source if I do so within the ‘Edit Profile’ page, I will lose my verification and swipe up capabilities. I’d obviously very much like to keep my verification as it helps within the industry I work in. I’ve tried requesting the username change via Instagram’s Support / Help Centre but have received nothing back in over a month.

PLEASE HELP! I need this sorted ASAP.
