Cisco PIX Device Manager

I have a Cisco Pix 501. I am trying to access the device manager. The device is online, I can telnet just fine.
I go to https://xx.xxx.xxxx.com and I go through entering the passwords but then it just sits there forever. I tried in Firefox and it threw a java error, I tried in IE 7.0 and it’s been “loading” for nearly 30 minutes.

I have java enabled but I get the following exception:java.security.AccessControlExeception: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission java.version.read).

Any ideas?
