Citrix Client accessing Server early mor

We have a single user at one of our depots trying to get a connection to our servers early moring but when he trys to connect he gets a message for the first hour saying ‘unable to contact DHCP server’ but at around the time when everybody starts work he gets in, hes trying to connect into our Windows NT terminal server running citrix metaframe 1.8 whilst the servers are in the process of backups, but this shouldnt matter should it? could this be something to do with the server not allowing himconnection because its not accepting connections due to the backups? i dont know.
