Client v3.21 freezes on Novell 4.11 boot

I have Dell Latitude XPiCd laptops. I had Intranet client verison 3.20 working fine with Novell 4.11 server. Upgraded to client v.321 and the laptop freezes on splash screen. If I disconnect drop cable and boot it boots ok! Then connect cable and login to system …ok. What’s Up? I have Norton AntiVirus but is has completed it scan before the freeze. Help!
