Client32 3.2 and 3.2.1 Clear Connections

It does not seem that the clear connections checkbox in the Novell client does anything at all. When one of our Win98 workstations crashes and does not properly disconnect from the server I have to manully disconnect them before they can log back in. I would give them more than one login but thier old connection would keep thier documents locked until it automatically clears, which take about 1/2 hour. Does anyone know how to make the clear connections option in the client work? I am spending way to much time clearing connections.

Each system does not crash that often but when you have a thousand people using Win98 it happens often enough.
