Clock radio plays low sound when off

I have a little problem with a clock radio i have, it might sound weird but when it should be off it plays a very low sound like it’s playing from one of the radio channels. What I mean with off is that it shouldn’t play music but just be on standby for when I have to get up. I can’t seem it understand why it would do that and first my wife couldn’t hear it until now, so I’m not the only one.
