Cloud Computing

So much for cloud computing. There is so much information going around that you can get lost in it. Is there a forum where I can learn in simple terms what it will take to take an application to the cloud ? Do applications need to be changed before they become cloud-compatible ? For example, how do I handle different configurations for different customers by using only 1 instance of a cloud hosted application ?
