Configuring Browser & Dialup

Windows XP has been a headache (no surprise there!). Since changing to XP, when I click on my browser my dialup no longer automatically comes up. I use Netscape 4.75. I did have 6.2.2 but upgraded to 7 over the internet & it will no longer work because a file was lost. How can I solve these problems? (I’ve already ordered the CD for Netscape.)
