connecting to internet

my client has a laptop running windows xp but i can’t connect him to internet he has a wireless connection that is showing a very good signal i have uninstalled/installed xp,uninstalled/installed network card, at first i thought it was a problem with isp but he can’t access internet using internet explorer either. Any Ideas
