Connection Issues via Ethernet

Hi all,
I have been having some issues with my connection lately. Our wifi was playing up considerably about a week ago and is still a bit shaky, so my housemate fed an ethernet cable into my room – I thought that was all good, it would be fixed.

But now I am facing another issue, whenever I try and load a webpage, it takes like 4-5+ refreshes for it to work? I use Twitch a lot but that doesn’t even really load at all with the cable in.

Has anyone heard of this before/possibly know of fixes for it?
