Connection reset by socket peer

We are developing an J2EE application using WebSphere Studio Application Developer and WebSphere 4.

Sometime, we receive this ‘Connection reset by socket peer’ message and I would like to know the origin of this message and what can be done in the application to handle it properly, thus enhancing its robustness.
