I am fairly new to Tech Republic and the IT feild (6 mo.) I came to work for a mortgage company and their network was a disaster. No patches, many machines missing anti-virus or had outdated copies, no group policy, things stopped working all of a sudden (printers, shares etc.)
The network is pretty stable now and I was looking into an anti-spyware solution. We are currently using Symantec Corporate Edition v. 10, and have a 2003 SBS. All clients are running XP. I have tried Webroots spysweeper and it is o.k. but I was wondering what other members of Tech Republic are using. Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences they would like to share? I would greatly appreciate any input.
Also being new to the IT field, I would also appreciate any input as to what I should look for to make sure the network is secure and resources remain available.
