Corporate PC replacement – how often

In the later years (10?) PCs seem to “last” longer and also not much happens regarding performance in just 3-4 years.

So, we stopped entirely replacing PC’s automatically and extended warranty on the PCs to 4 years and 3 years on laptop batteries..

Most replacements are now happening when the PC dies after warrenty or become so old/slow that it makes good sense to replace.

Macs we often only need to replace BECAUSE they cannot be updated to the last OS, That is a really poor reason for replacement. Same goes for PCs not supporting Windows 11.

What are your thoughts on this?
