Corrupted user account

Dear IT-ers
I have a user account that thus not work properly anymore. We tried to find up why de capicom module doesn’t ask for a pin code anymore (2 days searching). I made a new account and everthing works fine. I waunt to keep as much as possible from the old account without reinstalling the lot,certainly the virtual pc with all his settings. I think I got the shit with installing chrome.
Can someone give me some advise please
