Crapware attached to updates from Java, Adobe and others

Can we please stop the madness?!?!? I can deal with companies like Java and Adobe Flash/Reader etc. who supply their services for free and make these offers as a way of generating a little income so as to keep their services free. But can we please NOT have the check box default to the checked condition?
