Ctrl A, C, V, and F gone!

For some strange reason, my laptop (Acer Aspire 5532) no longer responds to the highlight, copy, paste, and find commands. I can however highlight a word and right click to copy and paste. The problem is that this takes longer and is not as accurate. I tried the suggesstion for eliminating sticky fingers, but that did not help my situation. Please help me!
