Damaged NDS tree

We have acquired a new hospital to our system. They are OU=MSMC.O=SHS of the tree. We cannot browse above this level. The Tree Name is SHS_NDS Because the original owner split the tree incorrectly the servers have not been in sync since December of ’99 and we do not have any access to the [Root] level of the tree. We do not need any of the original objects above the MSMC.SHS level but would like to have [Root] back. HELP!!!!
