Deploying Data Access Pages on Internet

Hi.
Looking for advice on how to publish a Access XP pivot chart on our IIS4 web server. I can see the frame of the chart but no data. Also getting a error saying “unable to connect to the database” The page works fine over our lan/intranet, but not over the internet. I have looked at a couple of microsoft docs on the subject(Q291783)and a 27 pager(same title as this posting) and frankly, got overwhelmed. If any one could provide a more systematic step by step approach, I would be appreciative. I’m aware this is a very large project and a lot of areas to cover, but if I could get a simple model to work I believe I could expand from there.
