detecting if IP downloads from server?

Hi there,

i would like to put a QuickTime movie on a
web site, but don’t want people to download it,
but only to view it within the web page. Or at
least I would like to track down which IP has
downloaded.

Is it possible to tell the difference if an IP views
a file within a web page or through download?
Does the server receive different commands
for both actions?
