DHCP and setting the default gateway???

by dbreccia . Updated 25 years, 9 months ago

Have our NT Server configured for DHCP with our router configured as the default gateway. I cannot get our Win95/98 pc’s to ping thru the gateway. Whether I set the gateway on the individual PC’s or rely on DHCP to do it, they do not recognize the gateway. If I statically assign the IP’s and gateway they work fine but if they are set via DHCP they can’t get thru the gateway. Our WinNT Workstations and Win2K machine have no problem. Running ipconfig /all or Winipcfg reveals that they have no gateway installed as long as DHCP is enabled.. Did I miss setting something when I configured the Scope or DHCP???

Thanks in advance
