Directory e-mail listing

Not sure if this is the place for this question, but here goes. Currently, I manage a college website that lists all faculty/admin and office e-mails in a table. The e-mail server person wants me to change this so that bots crawling the web won’t read the @ in the e-mail address. Any suggestions? I’ve looked at a lot of college sites and no one seems to be dealing with this issue. Most have addresses listed in tables.
