Disable write access on shares

on Win2k server, i have hundreds of shares on which each users have different ACL . each one of them have write access on thier shares.

now i want to stop users from writing to their shares for sometime. & give read only access temprorily .

is it possible to give read only acccess on the entire drive temprorily ?

anymore solutions on this .
