Disk Check Again

Every time I start WindowsXP Pro, I get a message and a disk check start, even though it never finds a problem. Per suggestions from your members, I checked to see that I did not have auto check for floppy disk done by my Bios, I removed Norton anti-virus check and I still have the problem. The message says that Windows is checking the hard disk, not anything else. Therefore, there must be a way to turn this off, please advise. Thanks, Sid Kraft.
