Disk imaging utility

I’m a PC user who is trying to learn MAC. I hope you can help. I want to make an image of my hard drive.
1)The disk copy utility that comes with MACs only allow for images up to 2Gigs. Is their a utility out there for ther MAC that will create images of a larger size, if so how and who should I contact.
2)I’m having a problem making a single image of the hard drive. When I drag and drop it into Disk Copy it creates a different image for each folder. What can you do to help.
