dns not configured error

vista home premium with a netgear router, i was playing online then suddenly my internet cut out. pc can see router, router see modem, modem is online and recieving internet, so is router and my pc, but cant see anything. Ipconfig show all good except for the dns. did netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock reset catalog, worked for 2 min, then cut out again. using Eset node32 v4 scanned found no virus as with malware bytes. any solutions?
