DSL modem conflict with LAN network

Dear all;
i am using win2k server and Aztech high speed router dsl modem this server use network printer this server have domain but network printer pc have workgroup no work on domain. The problem is that when DSL modem disconnect or disturbance the network printer status convert “ready” to “opening” therefore i can not print on network but i can print on local printer.
