Hello All,
My question to everyone is this.
We currently have our IIS Server’s and DNS Server’s configured on, lets say subnet A, We have just purchased a second class C subnet from a second provider that I will call subnet B, The powers to be want to have an IP address from both subnet A and subnet B on each machine as well as a DNS record for each
machine with both subnets assigned. The reason for this setup is for fault tolerance.
The idea is, If one of our T1 lines goes down or something happens to one of our providers the second T1 (subnet) will take over without any interuption to buisness. Great idea, but I am not so sure this setup is going to fly. Can this be done?
If you could give me any ideas or potential problems I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thank You
