Embedded Browser Media Players

I was recently put in charge of a custom media player on my companies website. I set out to find out as much as I can about the media players we support (windows and realone). It seems like finding information on developing custom html interfaces for these players is extreamly difficult. I went to the microsoft and realone websites for information. Most of the info was for developing the video or a custom stand alone player. Both sites had limited info on creating custom embedded players. I’m also have problems with windows media player in netscape on windows and osX browsers (controls don’t work).

Is there any website or book I can read to get more detailed information on created and troubleshooting embedded media players?
