Embedded VB access to sending emails

I am assisting in the development of an application to be used on a pocket PC using PC2002 OS.
We were going to develop using Embedded VB. However we now understand that eMbedded Visual Basic won?t allow access to sending emails.
Can you verify this or stear us in the direction to solve this problem.
