Error adding users to Remote Administrat

I get the following error message when trying to add names to the Remote Administration list on a Win98 workstation.
– Control Panel|Passwords|Remote Administration
– Add button

“Error occurs trying to access the address book provider”

-I have applied all critical updates
-I have double-checked the domain name
– I have uninstalled the networking and reinstalled it

Please help
