exchange 2007 ManagedFolderAssistant not deleting emails

Hi,
Exchange 2007 ManagedFolderAssistant is not deleting emails from the deleted emails managed folder when option “when item is moved to the folder is selected”, it I choose the other option they delete (delivered). If i choose when moved and mark as pass the retention date, emails are marked past retention date. But when set to delete they will not delete.
