I’m looking for Exchange Server 5.5 to reject certain files attachments. Inparticular, we would like to stop any attachment with a .exe extension. My company deals with graphics a whole lot and we are not interested in blocking all attachments, nor are we interested in limiting the size of income or outgoing messages. We would like to stop excepting attachements with the .exe extension. We just got hit with the “create.exe” file and “navidad.exe”. “Create.exe” caused the most trouble, though itis not destructive as far as we are seeing. Can Exchange reject email according to the type af files that are attached or is there a third party software package available? We do have a firewall running Checkpoint, could it be done there?
