Hello Experts..
I am having an [explorer.exe] process problem which is different from IE explorer problem. It happends regularly, a few minutes after startup, or after closing program or internet browser (IE / firefox), my desktop just freezes.
There’s no bluescreen, no “program not responding alert”, no crash alert… no whatsoever. Click doesn’t work, right click doesn’t work. Only the mouse cursor can move.
I usually do ctrl+alt+del to bring up the task manager and kill [explorer.exe] and then re-launch [explorer.exe] again. After that, all went back to normal except for 1 or 2 programs, which didn’t show up after the explorer.exe process revival.
I had read some posts here about [explorer.exe problems] about uninstalling certain windows updates… I forgot which number KB????1 .. I did that too, also had all sort of spyware removal, anti-virus (local as well as online scanner) programs scanned and all is clean. I also removed my RAM… vacummed the dusts from the slots, … my RAM’s a kingston make and it’s only 3 years old. The problem still occur. Since this problem occured before, so I reformatted my pc and now … here it comes again.
Can any of you help me out with this as I have ran out of ideas to fix this unexplainable phenomenon?
