external usb 3.0 hdd won’t work on windows 8

Hi. I got a problem with windows 8. I have a usb 3.0 external hard drive. When I tried to connect it to usb 2.0 port on Windows 8. It will not work. But if I connect it to usb 3.0 port it work superb. I’ve tried to connect it with different PC that using Windows 7. It works on both port. Any suggestion? I suspect that there’s some issue with Windows 8 OS it self.
