Extracting a Date from an Excel Cell

I am trying to pull a series of numbers from a text cell that contains both letters and numbers. The date is always in the same place in the cell, and I want to extract it and format as a date.
ex. PRD113010-01 the date is 11/30/10.
Does anyone have a formula for this?
