Finding Product key in registry

Hi,
I have 28 PC’s running Windows XP Pro. I would like to determine which product key was used on which machine. Since the CD’s were not kept with the machines, I was hoping that there is a way to find the product key in the registry. I know that Microsoft can find it, because they use it for validation on their updtaes page. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.
