Fixing a corrupt logon profile

I have a user running NT Workstation 4.0 SP5 whose logon profile was corrupted. He copied his profile to another part of the disk and tried to delete his profile in orders to fix an IE5 problem with the Favorites. The profile wasn’t fully deleted,and NT didn’t create a new profile upon his attempt to login. So I copied the profile back to the proper place, but now all of his privileges have been lost. How can I restore the privileges?
