I’ve got an Acer laptop with Windows Vista installed. Currently trying to install Flight Simulator X but i’m getting Error 1935. Something about the Visual C++ Runtime Library. Don’t have the exact error right now but will post it soon as I give the install another go.
I’ve tried the following but nothing seems to fix it.
– Copy the disc to HDD and run setup
– Reinstall .Net Framework
– Install in cleanboot
– Reinstall MS Visual C++ Runtime libraries both 2005 and 2008
– Reinstall MSXML
– Cleanup the windows installer files using the installer cleanup utility from MS before installing again
None of the above seems to fix the problem. I must not that I got that same error when trying to install the MS Visual C++ Runtime 2008.
Any ideas on what’s going on or anything I can try, short of reinstall Windows?
