Folder Redirection

I have set up folder redirection of the my documents folder. I set it up in group policy as basic, redirect everyone to a share on a file server. The default behavour of the xp client is to establish offline file synchronization. This works fine when the user is connected to the network. I want offline synch to be disabled when the laptop user is not connected to the network. When I boot up in the hotel, I don’t want to be annoyed by a snynchronization that cannot run since there is no network connection.
