Formatting in Excel

I have several existing worksheets. My supervisor now wants my spreadsheets in a new format using the same data, column/row headings, etc., just different spacing, font size, bold text, etc. Is there an easy way to copy my existing sheets into his format without copying his format, using it as a template, and manually typing in my data?
I tried using Format Painter, but it didn’t seem to work. I think maybe because his page settings were different. I’m not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
