Forwarding email from a defunct address to new address

Is there a software program that will automatically forward email from a defunct email address (one that no longer exists) to a “good” address?

It seems to me like I have seen that type of program a few years ago but haven’t seen any of them on the market in a while. I am changing my ISP after 8 years and I would like to think that people who haven’t got the word about my new email address will still be able to contact me if they send email to the old one.
