Found new hardware problem!

I had an epson printer installed locally on an xp machine. I took it off and uninstalled the software or so I thought. I am now using a network printer. Everytime I start the computer, Found new hardware pops up. I can cancel or run through the wizard until it can’t find the hardware. It will pop back up 2 or 3 times then all is well until next restart. I can turn off plug and play service but that affects other devices. Any ideas?
